EU funding to co-finance operating costs of businesses in food and beverage sector and tourism sector during COVID-19 epidemic, second call

Ljubljana, 31 December 2020 – Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy has issued a funding decision for the call for proposals ‘Co-financing of operating costs of businesses in the food and beverage sector and tourism sector during the COVID-19 epidemic, second call’ which will be implemented by SPIRIT Slovenia - Public Agency for Entrepreneurship, Internationalization, Foreign Investments and Technology. The call for proposals makes a total of EUR 36.2 million available with over EUR 26.2 million coming from the European Regional Development Fund.

The call for proposals aims to increase as well as to improve the impact of financial incentives and provides financial assistance to partially cover the operating costs of businesses in the food and beverage sector and the tourism sector. The goal is to support the businesses in the hard-hit sectors of tourism and food and beverages -  keep them operating and protect existing jobs in both sectors. Over 3,600 businesses are foreseen to be supported under the call for proposals.
