Ljubljana, 21 July 2022 – Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy has approved EU funding for the call for proposals Strengthening the role of career centres in the holistic approach to addressing student-related issues. The project is in line with the objective of improving the educational system’s response to labour market needs.

The aim of the call for proposals is to promote comprehensive, high-quality career orientation throughout the entire study process, from enrolment to employment, and to coordinate the acquired knowledge of students with labour market needs. The call for proposals will also aim to promote adapted forms of assistance for specific groups of students.

The call for proposals will co-finance training and education for career advisors, the establishment of a system for identifying specific groups of students and their needs, and support for specific groups of students.

The call for proposals helps to create higher quality education, which is friendlier to students and more adapted to the development guidelines of the future.

The call for proposals worth EUR 1,035,000 will receive European Social Fund support of EUR 828,000.

The call for proposals is expected to be published on 22 July 2022.
