Ljubljana, 26 March 2021 – Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy has approved funding for the project Business Zone Arnovski gozd – expansion. The nearly EUR 3 million development project will be implemented by municipality Žalec and supported by the EU with the contribution from the European Regional Development Fund amounting to almost EUR 1.5 million.
As part of the project, additional road and utility infrastructure will be developed on the site. The expanded business zone will boast improved services, thus becoming more attractive for and accessible to interested entities wishing to settle and start running business there. The serviced site will cater to the needs of various types of entities and businesses ensuring the relevant infrastructure and equipment they need for doing business is in place.
The project is expected to spur the economy both at the regional and national level, increase added value of SMEs and create job opportunities in the region.
