EU funds for e-services and mobile applications in education

Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy, acting as the Managing Authority for EU Structural Funds and the Cohesion Fund, approved the Call for proposals to co-finance projects for the development and establishment of e-services and mobile applications in the field of advanced application of ICT in education in 2014 and 2015. The value of the Call for proposals for 2014 and 2015 amounts to 900,000.00 euros of which the European Regional Development Fund contribution amounts to 85 % of the abovementioned value.

The aim of the Call for proposals is to co-finance the development and establishment of innovative web e-services and mobile applications in the field of advanced application of ICT, and to open up education and training within educational institutions, public research organisations, universities and higher educational institutions. The projects to receive co-funding should support the development of an open and efficient education system which will be tailored to the needs of the digital generation.

As a priority, support will be given to developing e-services and mobile applications which will result in improvements of the education processes from the view-points of its digitalisation, openness and efficiency. Support will also be granted for projects focusing on the development of e-services and mobile applications to facilitate the use of ICT in education processes (e.g. unified authentication, e-content and IT systems management, interoperability). The projects aiming to develop digital contents will not be eligible to receive co-funding.

For more information please contact the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport, which is responsible for the implementation of Call for proposals.
